Ian, Chair of the Access Group spoke at the #Tweetup meeting last night organised by Best of Eastbourne bringing together local businesses and community groups / charities. He told them about the new 2017 Guide for Disabled People and gave a summary of what the Access Group does.

We are delighted to be invited to attend The BIG Futures Show 2017 on 22 March at The Winter Gardens. We will be part of the Disability Confident Zone promoting disability awareness and volunteering opportunities to the young people.
We have a disability awareness quiz for them and they can try out a portal induction hearing loop.

We were delighted to have Caroline Ansell MP attend our July monthly meeting to discuss accessibility issues around the town. Topics ranged from roads, footpaths, commercial premises to transport and employment.

Our Chair, Ian attended a Sovereign Harbour Rotary Club's meeting last night. He gave a presentation about the work, projects and campaigns of the group. The members gave a warm reception and showed great support for what we do.
