Latest Disability Today Article – Changing Places and Toilets

We are delighted to have the new Changing Place on Eastbourne Seafront just seemed appropriate to write about this and The Eastbourne Community Toilet Scheme for Disability Today. Toilets are a subject often people do not want to talk about but we all need them!

If you know a local business that would be happy for non-paying customers to use their toilet facilities please let us know. The Eastbourne Community Toilet Scheme which was started by Inclusive Eastbourne (previously known as Eastbourne Deisgned for All) is not just for wheelchair accessible toilets but general toilets for Ladies/Gents or unisex facilities.

One of the biggest barriers for people not going out is the confidence in finding suitable toilet facilities when needed. As our aging population increases this will be a bigger issue for more people.

If you would like more information about the Community Toilet Scheme please email us info@eastbourneaccessgroup.org.uk or ring 0781 0317 185.
